My sculpture means something

My sculpture is an expression of existence; they are about sharing feelings we all experience. Mostly powerful emotions found within ones self and or relationships with partners. I would like the viewer to be able to feel a connection with the figures in my sculpture, and relate from their own life.

Stone has become my favorite medium to work in, I like the eternal aspect, and also the hidden secrets found deep within the stone that often turn out to be blessings and inspire directly the composition and even the narrative of a finished sculpture. I also enjoy the physical interaction I have with the stone, I will let the raw stone inspire new ideas and take me on risky paths to find what is hidden inside.

I will often work on a few pieces at once to let one stone inspire another. It is also refreshing to be working on different stages, as the work is a long process from start to finish. I will build a loving relationship with my art as it is made; it is to be enjoyed with the viewer's hands eyes and heart
